Day 6 of 30 - Anything Hello Kitty!

So when I read the title of this one I assumed it was if you could buy anything you wanted at any price! I searched and searched for a good hour before I chose my piece haha! I went for the Hello Kitty Bangle: Script -  from the designer section on the Sanrio site that retails at $195!! I just think its a simple piece without being too childish!

Anyway, this was going to be another sort post so I decided to post what I've been up to today for you! Organising my wardrobe! Haha! Sooo, I didn't take many pictures of the before but here's a pile of the clothes that needed sorting!

Ha! Yes I am aware that there is alot! Originally my wardrobe had 3 rails - two on the left one and the right - the rail on the rail I had put one of those compartment things you can get from Ikea on it so I could fold my clothes and put them on there but while organizing it I soon realized I need that extra hanging space!

I painted the back wall of my ''walk in woredrobe'' a duck egg blue instead of the lime green it was - took a break to let it dry then started to pile it back in! Here's the finished product!

Left to Right - Leggings and Jeans, Cardigans, Blazers and Coats then Hoodies.

Left to Right - Shirts and Blouses, Jumpers, Dressy Tops, Skirts and Shorts.

Basket where my High Heels are Kept.

Left to Right - Maxi Dresses, Jumpsuits, Dress then Rompers.

Floral Bag - Pajamas - Channel Bag - Skinny and waist Belts.

Top Draw - Underwear and Bras, Second Draw - Tights and Socks, Third Draw - Tee's and Tank Tops, Fourth Draw - Random electronic stuff!

Next to that a bag filled with hang bags! All my flats are kept in a shoe compartment hanging to the right of my dress rail. If there's anything you'd like to see let me know and I'll try my best to do a post! Just want to say this wasn't to show off, this was simply because I just sorted it out and it will probably never be like this again! Ha Ha!

Day 5 of 30 - Favourite Thing To Do & My Week in Pictures

Soooo my favourite thing to do! Well this all depends on my mood - I love to read, when the feeling hits me I can read a book in a day! Especially if I get into one. Other days I can spend hours watch youtube videos - anything from Thrift Hauls, Sewing Tutorials and Beauty Gurus! I also love doing crafty things - I like to make clothes and other crafty bits! So You have to see how I feel! So I know this is a short post so I decided to add my week in photos for you! Enjoy!

Left - Right (Clockwise) Outfit Friday Morning (Excuse no make up), Magazines and Phone at the hospital, Heart rate monitor and Out of the Day Wednesday!

Same again - My beautiful Godson, Garland Tutorial, Open Lilium at work and a posage picture in My friend's Dads front room! Haha!

Hair Garland Tutorial

Hey! So I've seen so many floral hair garlands in the shops at the moment! Only thing I find being a florist I check the wiring of them and I have found without spending £10 plus on one the wiring is really bad on them! So I decided since I wire Bridal Circlets simular for bridesmaids I'd create my own! So heres some inspiration I found;

I originally was going to go to the warehouse - where I buy my floristry supplies and buy from bridal roses (small roses used in cake decorations, wristlets etc) and make one from those until I spotted the Christmas Wreath (yes we are lazy and they are still waiting to be put into the attic for storage) I had made which hydrangea and roses! I instantly thought hey lets save some money and use thoses! So I took them out the wreath and went on my way! I tried to take pictures of what I was doing as much as possible but I really should have filmed it as it would have been alot easier for me to teach you how to wire them! Here it goes!
 Tools You'll Need:
Flowers of choice - Preferably small flowers unless you are going for a bigger design!
A range of different gage wires
Floristry tape
Wire Cutters
Bullion Wire (Optional)

Step One:
Take two 70 gage wires and tape together at the centre - making sure you do it at least three times covering where the wires over lap - remember you can always add another wire at either end for more length like I did.  As this wasn't long enough and I had to add a third wire!

Step Two:
Cut into the flowers - I chose Hygrandea so theres alot of different size blooms on the stem - so I cut into them and organised them into sizes. Large, Medium and Small. Tip: When cutting them try and keep the stems at around 1 inch long no longer or shorter as it will be harder to wire them later!

Step Three:
Wiring them! When wiring your flowers you need to select the right gage wire for the weight of the flower - for example the heavier the flower the heavier the gage. For the large and medium flowers I used a 50 gage wire and for the small ones I used a 46 gage wire. To wire them create a hair pin bend place them on the stem and wrap the wire tightly around both the wire and the stem about 3 times. Making sure you make it as compact as possible to avoid bulk later on!

Step Four:
Plan your design first! Here I have laid out how I wanted my hair garland to look - Large then a medium and small placed together. Then all you need to do is wire them to the 70 gage wires we prepared earlier! I completely forget to take a picture of this step but make sure you evenly space them, trying not to show too much to the original wire!

Step Five: (Optional)
I chose a pink bullion wire to decorate the original wire with as if it is seen it would be nicer to look at. I wrapped it more tightly around the area where I created the clips to secure it around your head. The wrapped it loosely around the remaining wire.

Step Six:
You could always wire it as a circlet (meaning one continuous circle) or like I have created a hook on either end of the garland so you can easily clip it around your head. Simple as that you've made your own floral hair garland! I'll post pictures of me wearing it soon!

Day 4 of 30 - Your Favourite Foundation

Favourite foundation - Okay. So I've used quite a few different foundations and honestly it's only recently, I'd say this past year where I've been willing to spend more money on my make up after realizing (in most cases) the more you spend the better the quality is for your skin. So like I said before I'd usually go for a cheaper option, as I was too tight to spend £30 on a decent foundation! To the point! I started off using a No7 foundation which was £15.95 - Intelligent Colour Foundation in Light as I am naturally pale and honestly don't see the point in frying myself on sun bed or laying about in the sun all day, I'm naturally this colour I like to appreciate that! I found this foundation wonderful - it was so creamy to put on the skin and stayed on all day. The only bad point to it was the coverage wasn't great for me personally. However, in the summer I think this would be great as your skin clears in the sun - therefore you need less coverage. So I will be buying this again for the summer!

Currently I am using the Chanel Vitalumiere in number 10! It retails at £31 something! Yes it's a bit steep but I love love love it! I think the coverage is amazing and I find I hardly have to put any concealer on at all! It gives you a great duey look to your skin all day and stays put! Well worth the spend in my opinion! I also wanted to comment on the packaging. I love the package on this one to the packaging of the Vitalumiere Aqua (I'll picture them both below) which has also has incredible reviews online from Beauty Gurus such as FleurDeForce and MissGlamorazzi, but in my personal opinion the packaging of the Vitalumiere is much nicer on the eye as the Aqua looks a bit plastic compared to the glass packaging of the Vitalumiere!

 Vitalumiere

 Vitalumiere Aqua

I know you agree? On a side note I have sampled a few Mac foundations and find that they have the oddest smell to them and also I think for the price the packaging could be alot nicer!

Speak to you tomorrow!

Day 3 of 30 - Favourite Brush

Hey, so favourite brushes.. Well I'm not the best person to ask for this since I have a few brushes but I'm not sure whether they're any good or my 'favourite'! Ha ha! I only just started to invest in using make up brushes after learning how unhygienic it is to use your fingers and hands when applying your make up. So at Christmas I purchased a cheap set in the boots sale! It was a set of double ended brushes from the Fern Cotton range. I was originally drawn to them as each brush was a different colour leopard print. You get three eyeshadow duos, a foundation brush and a powder brush and a contour brush and a blusher brush. I thought this was a steal at £8 from £16 in the boxing day sale along with some other bits I didn't need! Ha! Then I have 3 single brushes a large angled brush from GOSH, a small angled brush from Rubie and Millie and a smokey eye brush from No7.

I'm not really sure what else I can say about brushes really... although I am looking into buying a sigma brush set as I'd like to have a nice range of brushes I can use as I often watch YouTube tutorials and do try new looks out when I go out or even just when I'm feeling creative at home! Let me know if you have any good set I should look into? Anyway heres an Outfit of the Day to keep you occupied!

Cream cardigan - £16 New Look
Slouch Top - Topshop - Sorry I can't remember the price
Floral Hareem Pants - £10 Primark
Wedges - £13 Primark
Bag - £25 TX Maxx.

Although some of the things I am wearing are nearly 3 years old! Haha! Enjoy xx

Day 1 of 30 - Favourite Eyeliner

So, personally I'm not a huge make up junky and only have the basics in my kit with a few extra eye shadow pallets for special occassions. I use a Collection 2000 Eye Pencil in Black for my water line top and bottom then I prefer to use a charcoal black eyeshadow to line my top and bottom lash line as I personally prefer the smudged 'Just got out of bed' smokey eye look!

Collection 200 Khol Eyeliner £1.99

Rimmel Colour Rush Trio Eyeshadow £6.12
I went for this trio as its perfect for everyday use and great to create a night time look too!

Let Me Introduce Myself..

So, I've tried this a few times but never seem to get into the swing of things. Over the past few weeks I have been reading alot of blogs where the girls aren't superfical and just blog. That's what I love about blogging. First I was worried I no one was going to read my blogs but now I have come the point of no return where it's not about everyones exceptance but your own. I've learnt alot over this last year and I wanted a place to share my tales, maybe post a few outsides of the days. Show you designs I do at work, I am also starting a Level 4 Higher Diploma in Floristry in September so it would be great to show what I've been working on!

So, let's get to it! I'm Heather, I don't really have any nick names (other than the embarrassing ones my Mum and Dad like to call me) But I will usually answer to Heath! I'm 21 years old and I'm turning 22 in July. I must say turning 21 wasn't life changing like I thought it was going to be at 20 but this has been the year of a lot of learning curves for me. I've learnt to love, I've lost people and gained new friendships, realized that not everyone is as they seem and sometimes it takes hitting rock bottom to find yourself. I realized that not everything needs to approved by the people surrounding you, that the people who care and love you the most will stand by you no matter what you choose to do with your life. The biggest mile stone for me this year was learning to go with my own judgement instead of listening to what others tell you is best for you, Okay, they may have been right but you have to learn from your own mistakes otherwise you don't grow as a person. Life isn't perfect, Neither are we.

So I'm a florist. For those who aren't sure what that is, I make up floral arrangements for gifts, weddings, parties, events and funerals etc. I love my job. It took me til I was 18 to decide what I wanted to do but when I found this I knew I was made for it. I currently work in a small Florist in a town near me and am qualified at National Diploma in Floristry Level 2 and Level 3. Like I mentioned earlier I'm hoping to study at level 4 in September so that I can eventually go on to level 5 at University and be one of the highest qualified florists in the country. My aim is to open my own shop by the time I am 25 - 30 and go on to teach in my early 40's. I'll post some of my designs in a later post so you can see my forever growing portfolio!

Love Life? Well, I'm single. Being with a partner is a luxury in my eyes and is hard work not something that just comes to you. Finding someone who you want to share your life with is a big decision and although I'm still young, I generally look for those qualities in a man when dating. I honestly don't want to break someones heart knowing deep down that person isn't who I'd happily spend my life with. If that means being alone for a while then so be it. Also I find that being in a relationship somewhat distracts me from the important things to me like my career and creativity.

Okay, Hobbies.. Well I'd class Floristry as a passion of mine although it's part of my job, other things I love to do is read both books and magazines! I am planning a post on the pile of books I have lined up to read over the summer! I would like to do a few book reviews as I love to see other people enjoy things as much as me! I generally read Romance Novels because I am a soppy person at heart! I also subscribe to Country Living Magazine, my all time favourite magazine! I could sit and read their articles and look at the beautiful pictures for hours and hours, so much inspiration in one magazine!
Sewing, so a few years ago my Mum and Dad brought me a sewing machine as a gift at Christmas, I've been making odd pieces ever since. I make dresses for myself and love wearing them and getting compliments! Makes me feel amazing to know I am wearing something I designed and made myself! Last on my list, Crafting! I love love love anything crafty! Most of the blogs I read on Blogger are crafters! They are so inspiring and I just love getting ideas from then! Look out for some tutorials in the future!

When I'm relaxing you'll usually find me in bed watching Youtubers such as ThePersianBabe, Beauty-Crush, DulceCandy87 etc! I love to watch Beauty Gurus!

Ok, so I have just noticed I am rambling on about myself now so I'm going to leave it here! Look out for my next post!
